TOM EVANS is studying for a PhD in composition at Kings
College, London, having completed a BA and MPhil at St.
John’s College, Cambridge. He is also a freelance
violinist, leading several amateur orchestras in London
and the orchestra of Opera East Productions. He has performed
the Brahms, Mendelssohn and Beethoven concertos with various
orchestras around the UK.
In 2003 Tom was a member of South Bank Sinfonia and was
subsequently commissioned by them to write the piece Always
an Explorer. Tom’s compositions have also been performed
at the Aldburgh Festival, the Royal Festival Hall and have
been broadcast on BBC Radio 2.

EMMA GREENWOOD is a graduate of Oxford University and
holds a post-graduate diploma in performance studies from
Trinity College of Music where she studied with Stephen
Stirling. She now freelances with orchestra such as the
BBC Symphony, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and City
of London Sinfonia as well as pursuing a busy solo and
chamber music career. She has travelled across Europe,
South America and India with various orchestras and has
performed concertos across the UK and, recently, in Bulgaria.
As a participant at Chamber Music International Emma became
interested in using theatre and movement in choreographing
chamber music works and has since worked on various such
projects with the New London Chambe Ensemble. She is currently
studying the Lecoq approach to physical theatre with Lucien
MacDougall at Richmond Adult Community College.

DANIEL
BROWELL studied music at Birmingham University and in Paris, with
Jeremy Brown and Laurence Allix. He has consequently performed
in Birmingham, London and around Europe, in addition to
participating in festivals in Corsica, Courchevel and Lidkoping.
Upon Returning to England, Daniel began postgraduate studies
at the Royal Academy of Music with Colin Stone, where he
is in his final year of a Masters degree. Last year his
performances included Berio’s Points on the Curve
to Find… and Linea in the South Bank Berio festival
Omaggio.
In addition to solo repertoire Daniel is a keen
chamber musician and future projects include a performance
of Bartok’s sonata for two pianos and percussion
and performances with the newly formed Sounds Underground
ensemble.
Most recently Daniel was awarded the E M George
prize at the Academy, and was a prize winner in the 2004
British Music Society piano competition. |
