SIONA STOCKEL (Soprano) studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, gaining a Distinction in her Masters Degree in Vocal Performance in 2002. She then spent two years at the Royal College of Music in London, where she was taught by Nancy Argenta and Ashley Stafford. She was awarded her postgraduate diploma in July 2004. Siona has been fortunate enough to win a number of awards for her singing, including a Laura Ashley Foundation scholarship for postgraduate study and the Elias Prize for sopranos.
She now appears regularly as a soloist and recent engagements include performing Alpestre Monte in the London Handel Festival, the role of Galatea in Handel's Acis and Galatea, and the role of Calliope in Handel's Alceste in Varazdin, Croatia.

FRANCES NORBURY (Baroque Oboe and Recorder) was born in Reading and was a scholar of the Berkshire Young Musicians' Trust as well as a member of the Reading and Berkshire Youth Orchestras. After graduating from St John's College, Cambridge in 2000 she won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, where she spent two years studying with Katharina Spreckelsen.
Since leaving she has been working freelance throughout the UK and overseas, most recently in St Petersburg performing and recording a Russian classical opera in the Hermitage.
Plans for next year include dates with the King's Consort and St James Baroque, and several visits to France to participate in the Jeune Orchestre Atlantique with Philippe Herreweghe.

JOSEPH McHARDY (Harpsichord) was born in Dundee and studied at the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Academy of Music, where his teachers included Laurence Cummings and Terence Charlston. He graduated from the RAM with distinction in 2004.
Since then he has been active as a continuo player, recording and performing with La Serenissima, and assisting Paul McCreesh in Komische Oper Berlin's production of Handel's Alcina. Future projects include a return to Berlin in March and a tour with The King's Consort in December. He is also organist of Christ Church, Chelsea.
