SIONA
STOCKEL (Soprano) studied
at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, gaining a
Distinction in her Masters Degree in Vocal Performance in
2002. She then spent two years at the Royal College of Music
in London, where she was taught by Nancy Argenta and Ashley
Stafford. She was awarded her postgraduate diploma in July
2004. Siona has been fortunate enough to win a number of
awards for her singing, including a Laura Ashley Foundation
scholarship for postgraduate study and the Elias Prize for
sopranos.
She now appears regularly as a soloist and recent
engagements include performing Alpestre Monte in the London
Handel Festival, the role of Galatea in Handel's Acis and
Galatea, and the role of Calliope in Handel's Alceste in
Varazdin, Croatia. |

FRANCES
NORBURY (Baroque
Oboe and Recorder) was born in Reading and was a scholar
of the Berkshire Young Musicians' Trust as well as
a member of the Reading and Berkshire Youth Orchestras.
After graduating from St John's College, Cambridge
in 2000 she won a scholarship to the Royal Academy
of Music, where she spent two years studying with Katharina
Spreckelsen.
Since leaving she has been working freelance
throughout the UK and overseas, most recently in St
Petersburg performing and recording a Russian classical
opera in the Hermitage.
Plans for next year include
dates with the King's Consort and St James Baroque, and several
visits to France to participate in the Jeune Orchestre Atlantique
with Philippe Herreweghe. |

JOSEPH
McHARDY (Harpsichord)
was born in Dundee and studied at the University of Edinburgh
and the Royal Academy of Music, where his teachers included
Laurence Cummings and Terence Charlston. He graduated from
the RAM with distinction in 2004.
Since then he has been
active as a continuo player, recording and performing with
La Serenissima, and assisting Paul McCreesh in Komische Oper
Berlin's production of Handel's Alcina. Future projects include
a return to Berlin in March and a tour with The King's Consort
in December. He is also organist of Christ Church, Chelsea. |
