DIMITAR BUROV (violin)
was awarded a scholarship from the British Council to study
with Yfrah Neaman at the Guildhall School of Music and
Drama after finishing studies at the Bulgarian Academy
of Music. Since graduating he has pursued a busy career
as a teacher and performer. Having taught at Lancing College,
North London Collegiate and the Purcell School, he is at
present Head of Strings at Harrow School. He has performed
throughout England, has toured France, Finland and Hungary
and regularly performs in his home country, Bulgaria. He
has performed as a soloist with Sofia Radio Orchestra,
Varna Philharmonic and the Guildhall String Ensemble

MARK
SMITH (piano)
studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Ruth Harte,
gaining the Maud Hornsby Award for 4 th year studies. Since
graduating he has given recitals at many venues around
the country including St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Caius & Gonville
College, Cambridge, Portsmouth, Stow & Three
Rivers Music Clubs, the Bushey Festival, Kingston University
and the Maltings Arts Centre, St. Albans. He has performed
regularly at the National Theatre foyer concerts, and for
Music in Hospitals for whom he has toured the North, Wales,
the Channel Islands and the South-west, performing live
on BBC Radio. Mark has accompanied for the Royal College
of Music Junior Department and is an Associated Board examiner.
He also teaches at Harrow, Haileybury, Merchant Taylors’ and
Queenswood schools.

DIMITAR and MARK formed
their duo in 1994 and have given many concerts together,
including recitals at Cranleigh School , North London Collegiate,
Queenswood, and for the Rugby and Harrow Music Societies.
They regularly give lunchtime concerts at churches in and
around London and have performed at music clubs throughout
England , most recently at Letchworth and Little Gaddesden.
